it’s worked so far-
February 10th, 2010randomI haven’t been blogging much. If “much” really meant “not at all” that statement would be accurate.
I haven’t had much to say about the world of Dianna. It’s pretty steady in these parts. The little boy is still awesome. The boyfriend is still doubly awesome. Work is good and the weather is getting better!
So here’s my “here’s what I’ve been doing for the last month” list:
1. I turned 30. YAY. It’s a sweet age so far.
2. Played Charades with Tashar
3. Learned to take off 1 handed on the trapeze.
4. Watched the boyfriend have a crazy good time on the trampoline.
5. Bought 2 new books
6. Got my hair cut
7. Had a rocking good time at Owen’s goodbye lunch, coffee, dinner, and drinks.
8. Played the game Risk. I don’t see the point of it.
9. Admitted to living in a box and liking it (hey it’s my box!).
10. Bought Valentine Sweet Tarts for my sweetie. -
January 24th, 2010randomThe other night I was asked what my passion was. It’s a question I’ve been asking myself for a few weeks now. Do I really have a passion? Do I really need one? Will having a passion subside this creeping feeling I have in the pit of my tummy? Perhaps it will.
I’ve found that when I try and “find” my passion I end of with “hobbies” I don’t really stick with. A few years ago if you would have asked me what my passion was I would have answered with one word – “writing”. But these days everything I write bores me. It makes me wonder what happen to the me that was inspired to write by everything around her. Then I recall what really did happen – life. Life has changed me, put my focus and energy in so many other places. Other adventures. Other dreams. Other lives.
One day my passion will find me so I’m not too worried about it. What I a worried about is that I’ve been in an angsty mood for 2 weeks now and it’s really beginning to annoy me. Perhaps it’s a hormonal shift as I get closer to being 30.
In any case I have the following to say : Hello hormones, It’s me Dianna. Can you back off a little bit?

December 29th, 2009randomIn 39 days I’ll be 30.
I think this is the age I’m suppose to be not too jazzed about, but I’m not sure why I’m suppose to feel that way. I can only imagine how awesome my experiences will be. I can only imagine how awesome my life will be. I can only imagine how awesome I will be.
In the spirit of celebrating turning 30 I decided to find other people embracing their 30th birthday:
30 Reasons Why Turning 30 Rocks!

Top 30 Reasons to Celebrate Turning 3030 will be awesome. I have no choice but to embrace it.

December 16th, 2009all about me!, randomI started the year with a list of rules. I broke some, I followed others. But I learned a lot.
Things I learned in 2009:
~I like being pushy.
~I’m a complainer.
~Finding the positive is pretty awesome.
~I create my own stress most of the time.
~Not looking for a “life path” makes life a lot easier.
~Everything works it’s self out. EVERYTHING.
~I change myself to adapt to the people and situations around me.
~I’m a really chill person because of the above.
~Life is sometimes annoying because of the two things above.
~My friends are my one of my greatest assets.
~Not looking for love really does work.
~My son still needs a nap.
~I hate washing my face. -
November 4th, 2009randomTo say I am content is a gross understatement. To say that I’m happy is a little closer to the mark. Not one thing in my life is the cause of my happiness, it is a part of my happiness. It took me a long time to get here, but here I am.
This is my life. Take number 5,047 of 20 million. Another road. Another adventure. More making every day awesome.

Adventure #1: Thanksgiving in my own house. No cooking, no baking. Just 3 days off and me.
Adventure #2: A week off in December. SO EXCITING! I haven’t really taken an vacation in about a year.
Adventure #3: 3 tattoos before the end of the year. I’ll post pictures, of course. And of course there is my ongoing adventure: Tashar. He’s 5, he’s smart, and he’s the love of my life. We had a conversation on the drive home today about where to put pumpkins once they are carved. We’d like them to not spoil and get icky. Tashar thinks putting them in the garden or garage will do the trick. But keeping them out of the rain is the most important part. Sigh..he’s getting older and using logic.
He’s also getting tall…he’s 3′9″. I’ve got 14 inches until he’s the same height as me.
IT’S NOT FAIR.

November 4th, 2009randomYup..I did it again. I saw a post over at the lovely Kate’s blog and HAD to “borrow” her idea. Although my pictures will not be the awesome interiors she found, I do have somewhat of a theme…randomness (it’s why you come to my blog…remember?)
So..what is my color personality?
Q:What is the first color you see in the morning?
A: Cream

October 22nd, 2009randomToday I was reminded that I can only control so much.
Case(s) in point:
1. I can’t control how someone reacts to me.
2. I can’t control any other person, even the little boy.
3. I can’t control if my child wakes up with a 102 degree temperature.
4. I can’t control what other people do.
5. I can’t control what other people say.
6. I can’t control other’s opinions of me.
7. I can’t control the weather.
8. I can’t control how fast people do things.
9. I can’t control anyone’s inability to communicate.
10. I can’t control anyone’s crazy.But on the flip side I can control:
Tags: 2009, i don't care
1. My crazy.
2. How I’ll keep my little boy comfortable as he struggles through the sickies.
3. If I decide to say something stupid or offensive.
4. How I communicate.
5. What I’ll read before I go to bed.
6. How long I’ll allow myself to be stressed.
7. How I’ll live each moment and not worry about the rest.
8. Being happy.
9. What I’ll wear when it alternates between rain and sunshine every week.
10. Not caring about things that don’t affect my everyday, happy, well adjusted life. -
October 10th, 2009randomI have no idea how to plan a vacation, take a vacation, or stay in vacation mode. I have a really bad habit of working ALL THE TIME. I want to take a vacation or 10. Actually go somewhere by plane, train, or automobile and sleep in a bed I’ve never slept in.
Does anyone have any ideas for a fun (and affordable) short/long/forever vacation?
