For the last 3 years Tashar and I have sat down and made a list of things he wants for Christmas. But with the understanding that he will not get everything on his list. He wrote “Tashar’s List” and I wrote everything else. tashar's list

We also made a list of things he’d like to give to other people. It’s 15 people deep this year. Not too bad.

We’ll also be looking through his toys and donating some and trowing away the broken ones.

We’ve made our own traditions: lists, donating, a living Christmas tree, and mommy baking cookies and making TONS of fudge. It’s a good feeling to know that even as a duo we have our traditions. We’re also getting the boyfriend involved this year. He’s getting a gift even though he said not to buy him anything (and he actually meant it). But, if I put that it’s from Tashar, he’ll totally be ok with it.

A little holiday shopping

I have very short hair now, but I can still rock a great headband. Here’s the one I bought this past weekend from Anthropologie. (Early) Merry Christmas to me.

NaNoWriMo

So, I’m taking a break from writing to write this.

This year I decided write a novel. To jump start that I’m, participating in nanowrimo. It’s 50,000 words in 30 days. I’m at about 2800 words and running out of ideas.

I’m about to start writing in people I know and making them do fun things. Fun as in stuff they would never do in real life.

life: take number 5,047

To say I am content is a gross understatement. To say that I’m happy is a little closer to the mark. Not one thing in my life is the cause of my happiness, it is a part of my happiness. It took me a long time to get here, but here I am.

This is my life. Take number 5,047 of 20 million. Another road. Another adventure. More making every day awesome.

Take1.001

Adventure #1: Thanksgiving in my own house. No cooking, no baking. Just 3 days off and me.
Adventure #2: A week off in December. SO EXCITING! I haven’t really taken an vacation in about a year.
Adventure #3: 3 tattoos before the end of the year. I’ll post pictures, of course.

And of course there is my ongoing adventure: Tashar. He’s 5, he’s smart, and he’s the love of my life. We had a conversation on the drive home today about where to put pumpkins once they are carved. We’d like them to not spoil and get icky. Tashar thinks putting them in the garden or garage will do the trick. But keeping them out of the rain is the most important part. Sigh..he’s getting older and using logic.

He’s also getting tall…he’s 3′9″. I’ve got 14 inches until he’s the same height as me.

IT’S NOT FAIR.
